MECHANISM OF ACTION: Teplizumab may cause lymphopenia and alter the immune system's response to vaccines.(1) CLINICAL EFFECTS: Administration of a non-live vaccine within the 2 weeks prior to, during, or for 6 weeks following teplizumab therapy may result in decreased effectiveness of the vaccine.(1) PREDISPOSING FACTORS: None determined.
