Adverse effects reported in 1% or more of patients receiving milrinone include ventricular arrhythmias (e.g., ventricular ectopy, nonsustained ventricular tachycardia, sustained ventricular tachycardia), supraventricular arrhythmias, hypotension, chest pain/angina, and headache. Ventricular fibrillation and torsades de pointes have been reported rarely.
