Cardiovascular-Hypertensive effects may be more pronounced in the elderly and increase the risk for cardiovascular events in those with cardiovascular disease. A cardiovascular evaluation is recommended in those with CV risk factors, Avoid use of the drug in any patient with a cerebrovascular syndrome.
