Pyrethrins with piperonyl butoxide is a fixed-combination preparation containing 0.17-0.33% pyrethrins (pyrethrum extract), which is a pediculicide, and 2-4% piperonyl butoxide, which has little or no insecticidal activity but potentiates that of pyrethrins.

Pyrethrins with piperonyl butoxide is used for the topical treatment of pediculosis capitis (head lice infestation), pediculosis pubis (pubic lice infestation), and pediculosis corporis (body lice infestation). Pyrethrins with piperonyl butoxide is not effective for the treatment of scabies (mite infestation).
