10 mg/mL (1 mL) subcutaneous solution
- Inject 3 milliliters (30 mg) as 3 divided injections of 1 ml (10 mg) by subcutaneous route once; may repeat 30 mg dose once within 24 hours

- Ecallantide may rarely cause serious (rarely fatal) allergic reactions. Patients who experience a severe allergic reaction with this drug must never use it again. Because the symptoms can be the same for an allergic reaction and the condition which this medication treats, you will be monitored closely by your healthcare providers as you receive this medication in a clinic or hospital. Immediate medical attention should be provided if you develop any signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing, or chest pain.
